My favorite part is when the kitty runs to the window and looks out like “the outside stuff????? It is inside?????”

Y’all this is a great video to study to observe the body language of a very happy but also very excited cat.  Lots of people see videos of excited cats doing things like climb rock climbing walls or get on small boats and think they are angry or scared, when they aren’t.  Here’s a good example of happy excitement and tension in a cat where the cat’s pleasure is easy to see.  The cat’s tail is lashing and its ears are going backward and forward like crazy, but the cat is not angry, it is merely off its shits because snow is just incredible.  This is a wildly playful cat which might play-attack a hand or other animal because it is so excited, but not out of anger.  Note the zoomies at the end to burn off some of that energy!

Think about it. When we humans do something fun and very physical, our bodies are often tense, at the ready, and a lot of our body language does look kind of aggressive or even scared. Cats are the same!  Animals at play or investigating new things often show some tension, but tension is not the same as anger or fear!

Also lost memories directly confronts the ethics of the creation and usage of the prime field devices. I feel like blazblue kind of goes oh yeah it's kind of bad :/ but I feel like in the case of Unomaru and Es we get a lot more of an intimate(?) look at the creator-creation dynamic between what is essentially an artificial human. The contrast between Es being more or less a fully autonomous human but also being raised as a robot. It kind of makes me wonder like the psychology of prime field devices because on one end we have Noel, Bell/Platinum etc. who more or less have the same autonomy and emotional range as "real" humans with a few quirks here and there and then on the other hand we have Nu, Lambda, Es-Nu etc. who are more lacking in personal thought and autonomy once again with a few quirks and then Es who's psychological state of autonomy transitions throughout the series (Also I guess Lambda to some degree but it's a lot less prominent). It kind of seems like the difference between the two categories of prime field device is their exposure to the world and being treated like humans which makes me think it really is some sort of like rigorous, programmed psychological conditioning that they can break to some degree but not completely and for some it's more difficult than others. I think the big breaking point for Es was Unomaru basically saying "oh yeah I got a new guy who won't disobey me, you can go kill yourself I guess" and the incident with Hinata after Akira becomes a Union, but I don't think that would have happened without everyone she knows (except Unomaru) treating her like a person first.
